Call for Speculative Work

Anomalous Press (imprint of Drunken Boat) seeks speculative works by women writers for a folio that will appear in DB24. As an experimental sandbox of Drunken Boat, Anomalous wants to showcase science fiction, fantasy, slipstream, and/or supernatural writing. We are especially interested in work by women and non-binary writers of color. Poetry, prose, and translation submissions welcome. Prose submissions should be under 5000 words. To submit, email your submission as a doc, docx, or pdf attachment to sarah@anomalouspress.org with the subject line: Folio Submission. Please include a short bio in the body of the email. Deadline June 30th.

Call for Blog & Feature Writers

We're looking for writers who are interested in contributing in an ongoing manner to the Drunken Boat Blog, either by proposing a column or series, or by joining a team of staff writers who both pitch and take on assigned pieces for the blog. We are particularly interested in writers to focus on reviews, interviews, and profiles of artists and writers; and in getting pitches for columns or series that focus specifically on a particular artistic or writing community within the purview of our expanded mission. If you are interested, please send an email to Editor Erica Mena with a paragraph about what you're interested in writing about and your CV attached.
