resides in Columbia, SC and teaches poetry and creative nonfiction at Francis Marion University. He spent a year as a visiting professor at Hiroshima University in Japan. His work has appeared in Chattahoochee Review, Cimarron Review, Interim, Poetry Northwest, South Carolina Review, Southern Poetry Review, Tar River Poetry, Texas Review, and other magazines. He edits The Talking Drum, a publication of Friends of Ghana, an organization of former Peace Corps volunteers who served in Ghana. He is working on a collection of essays on former and current volunteers.
