Justyna Latek

Justyna Latek is a multidisciplinary artist with undegraduate degrees in Art History and Visual Arts and a graduate degree in Design. She is currently enrolled in the graduate diploma in Computer Science at Concordia University in Montreal where she is a researcher at the Topological Media Lab. She works in photography, video, interactive and generative video and immersive installation.

She has obtained grants from CALQ (Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec) and CIAM (Centre Inter-universitaire en Arts Médiatiques), and her work has been co-produced by Videographe and Daïmon (artist run centers in Quebec.) Her work has been shown in Canada, the United States, France and Spain.

She wants to create moments of suspensions that barely touch memory, to reconfigure space in a way that blends the senses. Currently her research is articulated around minimal states of perception in immersive environments.
